Beautifully situated small campsite with cottages between two lakes. Lots of Dutch speakers and people who come here for multi-day canoe trips. We did this ourselves with two young kids (6 and 10), and they loved it. We had a cottage, which was fully equipped.

A truly wonderful campsite with a wonderful tent camping experience thanks to a separate tent field nestled among the trees. We were her in mid July (16-17 degrees at daytime) and it was a bit cold at night (bring a cap, and a pyjamas). Bring your own lights and charged batteries. The included stormkök/gas stove works fine, but less optimal when it is windy. We brought our own Triangia gas stormkök and this model provides better protection against the wind (and rain).
The outhouse is fine, but is also old, and parts/wood where broken. I expect the owners will renovate this soon. The staff was very friendly and I got the impression they are real outdoor enthusiasts and devoted to make this a great place and experience for all visitors (many from ???????? and ????????).
I give my absolute best recommendations to this place! This is still a hidden gem. We are definetly coming back next year.

The canoe trip was also wonderful, although we were probably too noisy to see much wildlife.

Wie oben beschrieben: Für Wassersport ist hier aber alles super. Der See ist ebenfalls sehr sauber. Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen.

The two of us rented the Stuga Ugglan: a simple cabin with a composting toilet and no running water (with a pump in the garden), a good 20-minute walk from the campsite. The cabin next door wasn't rented at the time, so we had the entire property right by the lake to ourselves. It was absolutely fantastic, and we really enjoyed our stay. The daily morning swim in the lake was a dream, especially! The cabin also comes with a rowboat, which we also really enjoyed and which we enjoyed rowing out onto the lake again in the evening to watch the sunset.
The cabin was quite simply furnished, but everything you need was there. The cabin was clean, and the beds were equally clean and comfortable.
We were able to shower at the campsite (the cabin also has an outdoor camping shower). We rented a canoe and a kayak for excursions; both of very good quality. The Dutch owners of the site are very friendly and even speak German. Only the hiking options in the immediate area are somewhat limited (only wide forest paths, which are also used as "roads," meaning cars also drive on them). As mentioned above, everything is great for water sports here. The lake is also very clean. We would definitely come back.
